It's pretty common for brides not to have a great night sleep before the wedding day, and also in the run up to the wedding itself. My quick fix advice for puffy eyes is to soak two large cotton pads in cold water/rose water mist or your usual toner and place over your eyes for a few minutes. Relax and meditate or listen to some soothing music.

Once the puffiness has calmed, we can then apply the makeup. Like many makeup artists, I tend to do under eye makeup after completing the eye makeup in case there is any droppage from eyeshadow or smudges from mascara. After using foundation under the eye, if there are still shadows I'll use a highlighting concealer pen, 'Touche Veloutee' By Terry. This is a firm favourite of mine and staple of my bridal makeup kit. It is highly pigmented but not drying, also not too greasy so has brilliant staying power too. It comes in 4 shades (1 being the lightest and 4 the darkest). It sits beautifully on the skin and can be used on any area of the face to put light into shadows. I tend to use it under the eyes, and creases around the mouth as well as outer eye and around the nose. Some people believe that you should use a lighter colour concealer under the eyes. I tend to think this doesn't work that well but by using a light reflective product the same shade as your skin, you can diffuse shadows and create a more youthful and rested look.
