I recently had the honour of doing the makeup and hair styling for the beautiful Nina, who was getting married at Pennard House in Somerset.
I try to remember to catch the odd photo of my lovely brides on their wedding day when I have finished the hair and makeup, although sometimes it is so busy it's easy to forget. However, at Nina's wedding there was plenty of time for pictures and I wanted to capture this particular makeup look, plus the incredible flower crown!
Despite Nina being blond we decided to go for a bold red Chanel lipstick with a smokey eye makeup. I think the lip colour really lifts Nina's complexion and adds an element of classic vintage glamour to her bridal look. I used Laura Mercier primer on the skin with Chanel Perfection Lumiere as a base which is a lovely light reflective long wear foundation.
On her eye's I used a Bobbi Brown eyeshadow palette with soft Clinique eyeliner and a few individual lashes for extra glamour.
Nina's hair was very loosely tonged with a large barrel wand. We decided to keep the hair simple as the flower crown was doing all the talking!
I think you will agree that Nina looks absolutely stunning and I can really see a wonderful sparkle of joy in her eyes.
