QUESTIONS ASKED BY BRIDES...
Where does the trial run take place and do I need to bring anything with me?
The trial run takes place at my hair and makeup studio in Long Ashton, Bristol. I can advise on makeup and hair styles but it’s a good idea to bring a few images along with you as well. It’s very relaxed and there is plenty of time to go through everything. I often like to get as many details about the wedding as possible, such as the dress, accessories, flowers and wedding venue etc, as this informs the style we might go for. I am very experienced and intuitive and listen carefully to your ideas to ensure you are completely happy with the final look. If you have chosen a hair accessory or veil, you are welcome to bring it along but it is not necessary. I can advise on the best hair accessory or flowers to work with your hair style.
At the trial we have a chat about timings and then I send you a detailed schedule for the morning of the wedding day.
How long does the trial last?
Most trials take around 3 hours but there is no time limit. The trial ends when you are completely happy with your look.
What products do you use?
I use a variety of different brands, such as Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Clinique, Benefit, Laura Mercier, Nars, By Terry, Urban Decay, MAC, Dermalogica, Becca, Dior, Neals Yard, Paul Mitchell, L’Oreal and Bumble & Bumble. If you have a favourite product that you love, and would like to incorporate into the makeup design, please feel free to bring it along to the trial.
I have a large bridal party, will there be enough time to get everyone ready on the wedding day?
I always allow plenty of time to get everyone ready on the morning of the wedding. If you are planning a large bridal party, I can book one of my talented and experienced stylists to help out on the day.
Will there be any other additional costs?
A travel or parking cost is sometimes added, depending on the location of your wedding. At the trial, you may decide you would like hair extensions for length and/or volume. These will be added to the final price.
Will my makeup last all day?
As a professional makeup artist, I have a deep knowledge of the best products to use with lasting results. The way the products are applied can ensure your wedding makeup stays perfect all day. I advise keeping a lipstick with you on the wedding day for top ups.
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any other questions, I look forward to hearing from you.
