The Roman Baths is an incredible place to visit, and I’ve had the pleasure of getting many brides ready, ahead of their wedding at the iconic Roman Baths. Although there is no specific hair and makeup room at the Roman Baths, there are many stunning hotels moments away from this historic and memorable wedding venue. The Roman Baths offer sunrise or sunset weddings which make for an incredible backdrop for your big day. The rising mists from the spa’s thermal waters create a magical ethereal atmosphere and is guaranteed to be the perfect setting for a beautiful wedding.

I recently worked for the first time with a lovely bride who had booked Widbrook Grange, near Bath, as her wedding venue. I had actually never been there before, so I was very excited to see this lovely venue and create her bridal hair and makeup look in this beautiful setting. 

Widbrook Grange is a relaxed countryside wedding venue near Bath. The style is a blend of rustic and romantic with a fun and quirky feel to the Georgian farmhouse. There is a charming converted barn where ceremonies are held, set in 11 acres of enchanting gardens. It’s a very relaxed and intimate venue which was perfect for this couple’s spring wedding.

Over the years I’ve created many makeup looks and hair styles for brides getting ready for their wedding at Priston Mill. It’s a very popular wedding venue near the City of Bath. Although there is no bridal prep room to use ahead of the ceremony, there is plenty of accommodation nearby which I am able travel to. ​Cradled in a hidden Somerset valley, just outside Bath, Priston Mill is a memorable setting for many couples choosing to get married in this special part of the world. The gardens and ancient buildings have such a dream-like quality that it is hard to imagine they haven't existed like this forever; but the magnificent stone-walled barn belonged originally to the monastic estate run by the monks of Bath Abbey. Although having never been to this beautiful venue itself, so many of my brides have been delighted with this wonderful wedding venue and its proximity to the City of Bath makes it a perfect location.

Orchardleigh Estate, located in the heart of Somerset, is a romantic and elegant setting for luxury weddings. I’ve had the pleasure of working at this incredible wedding venue on many occasions. The impressive buildings and grounds makes an amazing place to get married. Many of my brides choose to have their hair and makeup done in the fantastic bridal suite, which is  a spacious and romantic room to get ready in.

Court Farm Standerwick is an incredibly charming and intimate wedding venue. I’ve worked with many brides over the years who have chosen this romantic farm for their special day. There is accommodation on site with plenty of space to create beautiful bridal hair and makeup looks. The farmhouse itself dates back to the 16th century and has the most pretty courtyard garden adjoining the main building. Depending on the weather, the ceremonies can take place in this intimate walled garden, surrounded by beautiful meadows and pretty farm buildings, many of which are used as luxury accommodation for the brides and their guests. Quite simply a beautiful, relaxed and quintessentially English wedding venue near Bath.

FAQs FROM BRIDES

Do you charge for parking in Bath? 

Some wedding venues in the centre of Bath require me to park close by. I generally charge an additional parking fee to cover this. Other wedding venues, outside of Bath city centre have free parking available. 

 

I have an early wedding in Bath. Are you happy to come to the venue early on the wedding day?

Yes, I can come to your hotel or wedding venue in Bath as early as you need, to ensure your hair and makeup is perfect ahead of the ceremony. 

 

I’m getting married in Bath but don’t yet know where our accommodation will be, is that a problem? 

It’s fine to let me know as soon as you have booked your ‘getting ready’ accommodation and I can make sure I’m there on the wedding day.
