Having spent a good few hours trawling all the makeup counters in Bristol, I came across this lip gloss from Dior.
I've been looking for some new makeup for myself and was after something for my lips that would be light, pretty and not too sticky.
I remember working at the BBC about 15 years ago, when, as a makeup artist, it was all the rage to own every flavour of Lancome's Juicy Tubes. The other makeup artist's I worked with seemed to have every colour and the most obscure flavours! To be honest, I found them a bit of a nightmare. They didn't look great on camera as they were too shiny and if the wind blew your hair onto your lips, you could end up with very sticky hair - not a good look.
Since those days, I have tended to avoid lip gloss for photoshoots and weddings, but after finding this one from Dior, I thought I would give it another go.
This gloss is apparently one of Dior's best sellers. It promises a plumping effect on the lips with the addition of collagen and menthol which has a slightly tingly sensation. It can be used twice a day as a treatment to achieve a plumper pout. I tried it at the makeup counter a couple of times before I bought it and think it makes my lips look a little bit less wrinkly, slightly fuller and smoother. I will keep you posted as to my progress with it and any longer term effects of using it daily. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for lovely youthful looking lips!
It retails at £26 and comes in 4 shades. One of which is a slightly blue colour which apparently make the teeth look whiter.
