I was very excited to be asked to do Emily’s bridal hair for her summer wedding in August this year in a very special venue called The Mount Without, which is situated on St Michael’s Hill in Bristol.
Emily had booked in for her hair trial earlier this spring and we spent time at the trial looking at the potential possibilities for her bridal hairstyle.
Emily is very lucky to have naturally dark curly hair. We wanted to accentuate this by smoothing out the curls for a more defined look.
I used a fantastic product called ‘Good Behaviour’ by IGK. It controls frizz, protects against heat, detangles, adds shine and smooths the hair.
It’s very light weight so doesn’t weigh the hair down. It also smells incredible too… I really recommend this product.
I applied the spray before using a slim hair wand to separate and define Emily’s gorgeous curls.
Emily wanted to add some extra volume to her hair on the wedding day so I suggested she try some extensions. I have a collection in every shade at my studio, so I was able to find an exact colour match at the trial. This enabled Emily to see if this was going to work for her… and she loved them! I only use real hair extensions which blend seamlessly with your natural hair texture and colour. You can also wash and dry them and used heated electrical hair tools on them to create the texture you require, whether it be tight curls, loose waves or poker straight hair.
Emily had decided on wearing a beautiful sparkly hair vine which was her ‘something borrowed’ from one of her lovely bridesmaids. It worked perfectly in her hair and I gently twisted it to frame the bun shape at the back. Emily also chose to wear a veil which really complimented her bridal look. As you can see from the photos, just how stunning she looked on her wedding day at The Mount Without in Bristol this summer!
