So, its been a while since I last wrote my blog. Wedding season has been crazy busy and I also work TV and advertising doing makeup and hair for celebrities and models, so sitting at my desk has taken a bit of a back seat. Anyway, since my last post, I have had the great pleasure of shopping for new makeup and I want to share some of my favourite products with you.
By Terry have just launched a new range of foundations and blushers, which I absolutely love. The Nude Expert duo stick is a brilliantly light, sheer and radiant base. There are only a few colours in the range but they are incredibly blendable and come in a handy application stick, perfect for your makeup bag. As a makeup artist, I always like to try products out before I buy them and add them to my kit. I like to see how buildable a foundation is, whether it is light reflective or mat and what the coverage is like. Nude Expert feels very smooth and moisturising but its main feature is its light reflecting qualities. Everyones skin is different, and every bride will have very personal requirements for their wedding day makeup, but I will definitely be purchasing this lovely new foundation in a few shades. Its also fantastic to use as an under eye makeup as it is very emollient and doesn't sit in the creases, which is perfect if you have fine or deep lines around the eyes. I have the shade 'Peach Beige' which is great for neutralising grey shadows under the eyes and also on eyelids. Definitely youth enhancing!
I also bought the Glow Expert duo stick which is a creamy, sheer tint two tone blusher. I love the colour 'Terra Rosa' which is a fresh pink. Just dot on the apples of your cheeks and blend for a fresh and youthful glow. My only issue with this lovely makeup is that it doesn't seem to last very long on the skin. I still love it but its probably not ideal for a bridal makeup due to its lack of staying power.
