One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is giving makeup lessons. There is nothing I enjoy more than helping someone develop confidence with makeup application. It's amazing to see people's faces light up when I have passed on some techniques and they have a go themselves and love what they have achieved.
I often get booked for makeup lessons after a wedding. A bride, bridesmaid or mum has loved their wedding day makeup so much that they want to learn how to re-create it for themselves.
Many women feel overwhelmed by the amount of makeup products on the market, and also being intimidated or 'sold to' by a keen shop assistant. When you book in for a makeup lesson with me, it's a completely different experience. Its not about selling makeup, it's about building confidence to know what suits you and then learning to apply it by yourself, with my guidance, using the most appropriate makeup, not the most expensive.
Usually, I will advise coming to the lesson with your own existing makeup bag, if you have one. This is a great starting point as we can have a look at what you already have and assess if it is still working for you. We then design a makeup look based on your requirements. Do you want an easy, low maintenance natural look? Or want to perfect the smokey eye for a full evening glamour makeup? We work together to design the makeup, which I will apply, talking you through every step. When we are happy... it is over to you! I support you and guide you as you then apply the makeup. There are no rules, it is an art form so you can't really go wrong and I am with you all the way.
I can advise you on the best products to buy if there is anything you feel you would like to add to your makeup bag. You can take notes along the way and take photos of the makeup we used to create the look.
This really is a wonderful experience and would make a lovely gift for someone special.
